BRAVE FISHERMAN IN BAYELSA TRAPS A HIPPOPOTAMUS

A fisherman has caught a huge Hippopotamus this afternoon in a fishing camp popularly known as Aku-Gbene Fishing Camp in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. The fisherman who's name is Mr Duobo said the Hippopotamus has been disturbing his farm land in the camp for some time now. According to him, he has tried everything to know what was actually disturbing his farm. According to him, sometimes, the Hippopotamus will show itself in the middle of the river in daylight and will be floating for hours. Mr Duobo said today is a very lucky day since he started fishing in the camp, and that the Hippopotamus is his biggest catch ever. According to him, how he caught the hippo still supprised him. That all fishermen in the camp had tried to catch this hippo, but it always destroys their traps.

He also stated that he was able to catch the Hippopotamus through the help of his Hausa friend Mr Mohammed who is also a fisherman in the camp who resides in Polaku community of Yenagoa Local Government Area of the state. That he had to transport Mohammed to the fishing camp to help him set up the trap with ropes and bamboo stick two days ago. According to him, whenever he is going to check his fishing traps, he will also check the trap of the Hippopotamus. Finally this afternoon, he caught the Hippopotamus that has been destroying his farm. ***prbxselfnetwork***
