Everton will let 21-year-old midfielder Kieran Dowell join Sheffield United on loan for the rest of the season, says Liverpool Echo. The England Under 21 international has made only two senior appearances for Marco Silva's team this season, starting Carabao Cup clashes against Rotherham United and Southampton. Frustrated with his lack of playing time, he is set for a temporary switch to the Championship side. Sarri wants Hazard future solved. Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri says it is time the club solved the problem surrounding Eden Hazard's future. The winger continues to be linked to a move to Real Madrid in the summer, but is yet to announce his decision. When pressed on news surrounding the Belgium international's future, Sarri said that "it's time to decide". Flamengo midfielder Reinier Carvalho is the subject of interest from Manchester City and Real Madrid, according to The Sun. The 16-year-old is shining as part of the Brazilian club's academy squad, with Juventus and Roma also keeping a close eye on his progress in South America. Carvalho's buy-out clause is set at £63m ($70m) with his current contract at Flamengo set to expire in 2021. Emery wants to bring Navas to Arsenal. Arsenal boss Unai Emery is hoping to secure the signature of Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas next year, according to Ok Diario. The Costa Rican has fallen out of favour at the Santiago Bernabeu since Thibaut Courtois arrived from Chelsea during the summer and he now wants to secure regular playing time elsewhere. Emery is a keen admirer of Navas and he could be brought in as a replacement for veteran shot-stopper Petr Cech, with his current market value set at €13m ($15m, £12m). Chelsea have buy-back option on Thorgan Hazard. According to German publication Bild, Chelsea have the option to buy Thorgan Hazard back from Borussia Monchengladbach next summer. The Belgian looks set to leave Die Fohlen at the end of the season, with Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund reportedly in the hunt to secure his services. Chelsea have first refusal on their former charge though, having installed a buy-back clause in the contract which took him to the Bundesliga. Borussia Dortmund submit offer for Lucas de Cunha. Rennes midfielder Lucas de Cunha could be on his way to Germany in January after the club received a €4m (£4m, $5m) offer from Borussia Dortmund on Friday. According to Foot Mercato, the 17-year-old has been in fine form for the Ligue 1 outfit's U-17 team this year, which has earned him the attention of several top European clubs. Dortmund are now hoping to secure his signature in the new year, in the hopes he can follow the example set by Ousmane Dembele, who also moved to Westfalenstadion from Rennes earlier in his career.  Simpson wants new Leicester contract. Danny Simpson says he is hoping to sign a new contract with Leicester City. The defender joined the Foxes five years ago but has just six months left on his contract, having made only three appearances this season. FC Porto defender Eder Militao has stalled talks over a new deal at the Estadio Do Dragao because he wants to secure a switch to Manchester United next year, according to Portuguese publication Correio Da Manha. The Primera Liga outfit had been hoping that the 20-year-old would sign a contract extension which would increase his buy-out clause to €50m ($57m/£45m), but his head has been turned amid rumours of United's interest. Militao has impressed in Portugal and in the Champions League this season, with 16 appearances under his belt across all competitions. Celtic chase Aaron Connolly. AM Brighton teenager Aaron Connoly is the subject of interest from Celtic, with head coach Brendan Rodgers a keen admirer of the 18-year-old. According to The Sun, the Hoops boss hopes to lure the striker to the club next year, after his impressive displays for Brighton's U-23's this season. However, Celtic are likely to face stiff competition for his signature in the form of Manchester City, Manchester United and Hoffenheim - all of whom are also tracking Connolly's progress. Man United unwilling to sell Pogba in January. Manchester United will not sell Paul Pogba during the January transfer window, according to The Telegraph. Red Devils chief executive Ed Woodward wants the Frenchman to be the team's focal point and has no intention of allowing him to leave as the club begins a new era post Jose Mourinho. Pogba has impressed since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's arrival as caretaker manager, starring in a 5-1 win at Cardiff City and scoring twice in a 3-1 home win against Huddersfield. Modric rejects contract renewal at Real Madrid . According to Telemadrid via AS, Luka Modric has rejected Real Madrid's offer of an extension on his current deal, which is set to expire in 2020. Inter Milan continue to be heavily linked with the 2018 Ballon d'Or winner and they are expected to launch another bid for his signature next summer. However, Madrid may be prepared to make a second offer to Modric which includes a more lucrative wage packet, as they aim to keep hold of their prized playmaker. Miranda could leave Inter Milan in 2019. Inter Milan centre-back Miranda would like to return to Brazil to play for Flamengo, according to Calcio Mercato. The 34-year-old recently signed a contract extension at the San Siro until 2020, but he has recieved offers from both Flamengo and PSG since. Miranda favours a move back to his homeland but the South American giants might struggle to match his €3m per year wage demands. Real Madrid willing to swap Asensio for Salah . Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah remains a top target for Real Madrid in 2019 and club president Florentino Perez is considering offering Marco Asensio as part of any possible deal. According to El Gol Digital, Los Blancos are happy to offload the Spaniard after a disappointing first half of the season, during which he has only managed to score once in 16 La Liga appearances. Salah, meanwhile, has contributed 15 goals across all competitions for Liverpool this term and Perez hopes he can be brought in to fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo's departure to Juventus earlier this year. Higuain requests to join Chelsea . Higuain agrees on Stamford Bridge switch AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain wants to link up with Maurizio Sarri again at Chelsea, having previously played under the Italian at Napoli. According to Sport Mediaset, the Argentine star has requested a transfer to Stamford Bridge, having struggled to make an impact at the San Siro since his loan switch from Juventus in the summer. Sarri is equally keen on reuniting with his former charge and Juventus would be willing to consider Chelsea taking over Milan's loan agreement for Higuain, with an option to sign him permanently at the end of the current season for €36m (£33m, $41m). Napoli favourites to sign Kouame 2018-12-28T07:02:32Z 8:02 AM Napoli look well placed to beat AC Milan to the signing of Genoa striker Christian Kouame, according to Calcio Mercato. The 21-year-old is currently valued at €35m ($40m, £32m) and the Rossoneri had been hoping to secure a loan deal in January with a view to a permanent transfer. However, Napoli have swooped in with an offer to buy him outright in the new year before allowing him to stay on loan in Genoa until the end of the current season, with negotiations already at an advanced stage. Atlanta set to sign former USMNT midfielder Shea. Brek Shea is set to sign with reigning MLS Cup champions Atlanta United. Cole to take coaching role with Chelsea . After retiring from the game last month, Joe Cole will take up a coaching role with Chelsea, according to the Telegraph. The former England midfielder is expected to move between the clubs youth groups at first and then be assigned a specific team next campaign. Cole previously played for the club from 2003-10.  Hazard unsure on Chelsea future. Eden Hazard says he is unsure of his Chelsea future as he will reassess at the end of the season. The Belgium winger has been linked with a move to Real Madrid and, despite saying he hopes to go down as a Chelsea legend after scoring his 100th goal, Hazard has yet to commit his long-term future to the club. Read his full comments on Goal! Pique to retire in 2020 with aim of becoming Barca president. Gerard Pique will retire in 2020, according to Mundo Deportivo. The defender is aiming to become Barcelona's president, and Pique is willing to retire in 2020 in order to push for the role in 2021. Pique was with the club from 1997-04 as a youth player before joining Manchester United, but returned in 2008 and has been a vital part of Barcelona's backline ever since.  Huracan announce hiring of Mohamed . Huracan have announced the hiring of Antonio Mohamed as the club's newest manager. Mohamed has previously taken charge of on three occasions, but never for more than a year-and-a-half. The manager was most recently employed by Celta Vigo, who sacked him in November after just 13 matches.  Real Madrid, Man City agree Diaz deal. The youngster will join the European champions on a six-year contract Real Madrid and Manchester City have agreed a fee for Brahim Diaz to join the European champions in January, reports Marca. Diaz's contract expires in June, but Madrid have agreed a fee of €15 million plus add ons (£14m/$17m) that will allow him to join next month.  The youngster will sign a six-year deal with the club and earn €3.5 million per season, with the club set to announce the deal next week. Sporting CP defender sold to Chicago Fire. The Chicago Fire have signed centre-back Marcelo from Sporting CP, the MLS side announced Thursday. According to a report in A Bola, the transfer fee for the 29-year-old Marcelo is €500,000. “Marcelo will add necessary leadership along our back line,” Fire general manager Nelson Rodriguez said in a statement. “He is a smart defender who participates in every phase of the game." Cruz Azul sign Yotun from Orlando City . Liga MX side Cruz Azul have signed midfielder Yoshimar Yotun after Orlando City failed to sign him to a new contract. The fee was not disclosed in the official announcement, but media reports on both sides of the border put the fee between $3.5 million-$4 million. Premier League clubs interested in Utd's Pereira Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira will decide upon his future in the coming days, with Premier League teams interested, reports UOL Sports. Pereira is hoping to see his role expand under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after being frozen out under Jose Mourinho but will leave if that does not happen. Everton, Arsenal and West Ham are all interested in the midfielder with his contract set to expire this summer. Wenger and Jardim in frame for Milan. The former Arsenal and Monaco managers could replace Gennaro Gattuso Arsene Wenger and Leonardo Jardim are both in the frame should Milan decide to fire Gennaro Gattuso after their match against SPAL, reports Calciomercato. Former Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis, who holds the same role with Milan, would like Wenger, but there are obstacles in the way of it happening.
