Rohr calls up 23 players for zambia clash as iwobi returns.

Super Eagles boss has called up the regulars including Iwobi for the game against Zambia. Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr has called up 23 players including Alex Iwobi for the crucial 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zambia in Uyo. The Super Eagles of Nigeria need a win when they face Zambia on Saturday, October 7 in Uyo to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. For the game, Rohr maintains the same squad he had for the doubleheader against Cameroon in early September. Goalkeeper Dele Alampasu and Tyronne Ebuehi are the only omissions, dropping to stand-by list.Arsenal star Iwobi who missed the doubleheader against Cameroon because of an injury is back in the squad. Daniel Akpeyi is also back in the team. Captain John Mikel Obi, Victor Moses, Ahmed Musa, Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Odion Ighalo, Leon Balogun are expectedly part of the squad.   All invited players are to report to the Le Meridien Ibom Hotel in Uyo on Monday, October 2.   The Super Eagles of Nigeria are top of Group B of the African zone qualifiers with 10 points while Zambia are second with seven points.
