AXE,EIYE ,OTHER DEADLY GROUPS MEET IN LAGOS

- Three rival cultist group came together in Lagos to denounce cultism - The groups are the infamous Axe, Eiye and Buccaneer - The groups came together to denounce cultism and form alliance against crime in Lagos Some members of three deadly cultist groups, known as Axe, Eiye and Buccaneer came together in Ikorodu, Lagos to denounce cultism and violence and march for peace. The members close to hundred converged at the headquarters of Onyabo, a local vigilante group in Lagos state, where they proceeded to march to Ikorodu palace. The repentant members who participated in the march for peace said they were ready to renounce cult activities as more deadly groups like Badoo. Photos from the event A resident of Ikorodu who spoke to pressman disclosed that despite the menace constituted by the cult groups in the society, he was in support of the march for peace by the repentant members and also praised the traditional rulers involved in the peace making process.  He said: “Cultism is a satanic menace militating our society no doubt and it’s disheartening that the Youths are unfortunately the victims of the negativity amidst these act. “BADOO ritualists and other societal crimes is really disturbing and require all hands on deck. We commend our great Monarch, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi and other great Kabiyesi’s for yielding to the cries of the people and it is a good thought in the right direction. "However, to the Youths who took the decision to renounce cultism and say no to all form of violence; it is a commendable decision and the Yoruba Youth Council is really keen to this project." Meanwhile, an angry mob has burnt and killed a suspected member of Badoo gang after he was caught by a vigilante group in Ikorodu area of Lagos state.prbxselfnetwork gathered that Ikorodu residents prevented officers of the Special Anti-Robbery squad and police officers from taking the suspect into custody. According to Facebook user, Rasheed Adedeji Fatuga, two residents were hit with stray bullets after officers fired gunshots to disperse the crowd.
