The Android 7.0 Nougat update is right around the corner for the Ulefone Gemini. Having only just launched in February, the smartphone is already getting a taste of the newest release of Android. Indeed, a preview edition of the OS is being tested for the device. As a refresher, the Ulefone Gemini features a metal unibody and offers up a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Powered by a MediaTek 1.5GHz processor with 3GB RAM, it also packs 32GB of internal storage as well as a 3,250mAh battery. The software update being tested right now brings the phone from Android 6.0 up to 7.0 and includes bug fixes and camera improvements. The beta version should launch in about one month’s time with a formal release coming in the next few months. The Ulefone Gemini is currently sold for USD $120.99 and comes with a phone stand, TPU case, and tempered glass.
