The group said some stakeholders in the North have become sympathizers of insurgency in Nigeria especially the North-East. AYLF said these leaders deliberately sabotage federal government's efforts at restoring peace in the region. the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum The youth forum while addressing journalists called on all stakeholders to recommit themselves to the rebuilding and rehabilitation of the North-East region rather than destroying it. The national president of the forum Adamu Adamu said once the Boko Haram terrorists and its intellectual wing are no longer getting financial and political aid, the war against insurgency in Nigeria will end. He said the Nigerian military and and relevant security agencies should be able to get 'marching' order to expand their operation in the region. Adamu noted that such orders will include the identification, investigation, arrest and prosecution of sponsors and beneficiaries of Boko Haram's violent acts. Arewa leader He also said that the youths have been brainwashed to believe that tose behind insurgency in the region are protecting economic interest. "It however leaves us wondering if the embezzlement of money meant for IDPs camps or money for brokering negotiations with terrorists is worth killing other people for. This is utterly condemnable and Nigerians should unite in condemning it," Adamu said. "Equally condemnable are those that are exploiting terrorism to further their political interests. People must be made to realize that it is better to make themselves politically acceptable to the electorate as opposed to sponsoring killers to destabilize an entire regions and wantonly waste human life," he said. He further called on the Nigerian government to publicly expose the sponsor of terrorism in Nigeria as the its next phase in the fight against insurgency. ***prbxselfnetwork***
