BLOCKING A NUMBER ON iPHONE

The iPhone is Apple Inc’s smartphone and multimedia device that functions as a mobile phone and text messaging device, media player, video camera, and internet web browsing and email device. There are a number of hacks that allow you to blacklist, block, or otherwise screen unwanted phone numbers. Learn how after the jump. Method One of Three: Using iOS7 or iOS 8 1 You can block the number from your settings. Go to Settings --> Phone --> Blocked --> Add New. 2 Select the number you want to block. This can be in your contacts, recent calls, or text messages. 3 Alternatively, start at a text message, recent call, or contact. 4 Tap "i" next to the phone number or name, and select "Block This Contact" towards the bottom of the screen. This will block the number from contacting you on calls, texts, Facetime, anything. You won't even know they called. 5 It works the same way in your message log and Facetime log, should you want to block from there. 6 You can also view your blocked list from the settings icon. After launching your settings, you can choose Phone, Messages or Facetime. You can then view your block list from there, and either add or remove numbers. No Was this method helpful? Do this by clicking the “Settings” app from your home screen. Your carrier will be displayed in the “Carrier” heading of the settings app. 2 Contact your cell phone carrier and request to block a number. For example, if your iPhone data and voice plan is currently with AT&T, contact their customer support line to request a number to be blocked. This is the only method of blocking a number on the iPhone without Jailbreaking it. Many carriers will allow you to block a significant amount of numbers. Sprint, for example, lets you block up to 50 numbers at the time of writing. Jailbreaking allows you to bypass DRM (Digital Rights Media) controls and thereby install certain "unauthorized" software.[1] Jailbreaking is inherently risky. If you don't want to assume the risk, please call your carrier or try "screening" your calls by setting the ringtone to silent or creating a "Do not answer 1" name. 2 Get Cydia and find an app that will get the job done. You won't find any call-blocking apps in the Apple app store, which is exactly why you did a Jailbreak in the first place. When in Cydia, you can choose from among these (and more) call blocking apps: Call bliss Call blocker iBlacklist[2] 3 Add the contact(s) you want blocked. Manually input the numbers that you want blocked and set the block icon to "on." 4 Configure your blocked contacts according to your preferences. Configure what you want to happen when the contact calls. You usually have the option of blocking before the call is made, sending the call straight to voicemail, or setting the ringtone to silent. Choose whichever option you'd like and set the changes on the app. ***prbxselfnetwork***
