Former President Goodluck Jonathan says the Peoples Democratic Party needs to be stronger as an opposition to the government. The former president was speaking at a meeting with members of the party’s Board of Trustees in Abuja who had come to seek his intervention in the leadership crisis within the party. He agreed to formally resolve all lingering issues to move the party forward. Jonathan met with the PDP stalwarts shortly after he had a closed door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on the way out of the Niger Delta Militancy. The ex-president, while addressing state house correspondents said that finding resolution to the problem of militants in Niger Delta would involve all stakeholders, including the elders, opinion leaders and traditional rulers. He said that he could not solve the problem alone but would encourage the government to bring Ijaw leaders to table for a quality discussion. ***PRBXSELFNETWORK***
