FCT POLICE CLAMP DOWN ON HERDSMEN!!!

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command is planning to stop the movement of cattle along vehicular highways in Abuja.   Commissioner of Police, FCT, Muhammed Mustafa who spoke with newsmen in Abuja expressed concern over the activities of armed men in neighbouring states and the arrest of 92 suspected Fulani armed men in the FCT by the guards brigade. In Ekiti, the State House of Assembly has held a public hearing on prohibition of cattle grazing bill.   The bill if passed into law is expected to enhance protection of lives and property of people of the state.    The assembly's Joint Committees on Agriculture and Environment initiated the bill based on the incessant attacks on Ekiti citizens by suspected Fulani herdsmen in recent times.    The public hearing drew major stakeholders including traditional rulers from across the state to chart a way forward on how to control the ugly trend.
