Samsung has launched its latest devices, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge in Nigeria. According to Samsung the devices will be available in black onyx, gold platinum and silver titanium from various mobile network providers within the country. Related – Samsung’s 2016 Predictions see IoT and Mobility Connect and Serve The latest Galaxy S7 range introduces the first, according to Samsung, Dual Pixel camera on a smartphone, delivering brighter and sharper images, even in low light conditions. Thanks to the Dual Pixel technology, the lens has a wider aperture and larger pixel, the camera has a faster shutter speed and a more accurate autofocus even in low-light conditions. Motion Panorama, a new camera mode, brings movement to traditional panoramic photos, giving the user a completely visually appealing understanding. According to Samsung, the 5.1-inch Galaxy S7 and 5.5-inch Galaxy S7 edge have been constructed with 3D glass and metal – all in a sleek design with durability and ergonomic curves for a comfortable grip. From work to play, the device’s new Always-On Display, gives consumers a simplified, zero touch capability where they don’t need to worry about missing a call or important notification. According to a report revealed by AllAfrica.com, Managing Director of Samsung Electronics West Africa, Mr. Paul Lee, said the new smart phones are imbued with intelligent cameras, and have set a new industry standard for design, craftsmanship and performance. He noted that the new Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge highlight the most refined phone experience ever by combining the latest technology that users expect from Samsung’s Galaxy series. Lee reiterated the company’s commitment to fulfilling its brand promise of inspiring the world and the future by bringing new and outstanding innovations to the doorsteps of consumers. “Our innovative technology has adequately captured customers’ aspirations and desires,” he said. The devices will cost around NGN 200,000.
