NIGERIA REMAINS BIGGEST AFRICAN ECONOMY******

Despite the dwindling price of crude and the fall of the naira, Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has insisted that Nigeria remains the biggest economy in Africa. Mrs. Adeosun stated this on Thursday when she appeared before the senate to brief it on the monetary and fiscal policy adopted to address the economic situation in the country. She said that despite that the economy is technically tilting towards recession, the Federal Government was able to geneerate over N559 billion, which will be shared with state governments. She explained that the economic parameters still favour the country and that there is no cause for the alarm. Meanwhile, the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udo Udoma says the economy will pick up in 2017.
